It was hard to be upset with him for not going back to sleep when he was so darn cute! This continued even after I laid him down on the couch and scooted away in an attempt to not be so distracting. I finally had to put him to bed wide awake, where he just laid quietly before nodding off.
While we still have the crying fits that we believe are due to silent reflux, they are becoming fewer and farther between as we get longer stretches of "Happy Elliott" time. Hopefully he is growing out of it already.
We are fortunate to have wonderful family and friends who were willing to travel long distances to meet Elliott. Here is a recap of the introductions:
Great Gram and my Aunt Jean drove up from San Diego for a quick visit.
They also brought a quilt and bumpers that they sewed for Elliott's bed. It is so beautiful, and really ties the room together.
Here's Elliott with Great Grandma Claire
with Great Grandpa Harry
and Cousin Miranda
even Reese got to join in on the fun with Uncle Jason
and a quiet snuggle with Daddy
Jason, Lori, and Miranda then came up to SB to spend the rest of the weekend with us. We took Elliott for a walk along the bluffs in Isla Vista.
Aunt Lori spent some time snuggling with Elliott while Steve and I got a much needed nap. Hooray for Aunt Lori!
Steve's college roommate Mike and his girlfriend Naomi came out from Hawaii to stay with us for a few days at the end of September... we can't wait for Elliott to be big enough for Uncle Mike to teach him how to surf.
We met up with my college roommate's at a wedding at the beginning of October. Here's Elliott with my oldest friend Kristin
and Jodie and her daughter Maaike
Maaike was so sweet with Elliott
And slightly off topic, but because I can't resist -
