Elliott says "Thank You Aunt Janine!"

Aunt Janine came to the rescue this week when our beloved day care provider, Anita, needed to take a few days off.  I thought I was asking too much when I mentioned to Janine that we needed help two days this week AND next week, but she agreed right away in her nonchalant, it's no big deal kind of way.  So she drove out from Santa Clarita early Monday morning to get here well before I had to leave for work.  Elliott loves Aunt Janine, and they had a great time together.

Janine sent me periodic updates throughout the day, which I loved, but also made me jealous of the fun they were having without me.  She made him scrambled eggs for breakfast, which enjoyed playing with, but didn't actually eat too much of.  He preferred the cheerios, which he loves crunching between his front teeth.

They also worked on his crawling skills.  His crawling skills are improving as he is starting to test the formal crawl on his knees, but still drops down to his stomach and does the army crawl when he really wants to move.

Of course he's ready to be able to go outside to play whenever he wants, but thankfully he's still a bit cautious of the steps down to our back patio (although we always keep a close eye on him when he's on the run).

Janine also helped him practice his clapping skills, which is just about the absolute cutest thing you have seen.

We so appreciate Janine's help over the past couple of days, and look forward to seeing her again next week!
